NEW WEBSITE!! :-)

Post by AndrewSkinner »

Hey Guys! Since I can't work on my car for a few weeks as I am at uni I have decided to make a website for it!

It’s not completed yet but it’s getting there.

It’s all about me, my Morris and all the other crazy projects that I manage to get tangled up in!!

Hope you guys like it and any suggestions would be greatly received
:D :D

Good work. One suggestion would be to edit out the huge number of exclamation marks, and another would be a spot of proof reading to weed out the spelling errors :D
I'm a fussy sod when it comes to language though... :D

Thanks for the tips bigginger. Yeah I realise I use way too many exclamation marks and the text was only written tonight so needs proof reading and probably allot of adjusting.

Thanks for looking at it. I think you will be horrified when you get to the 'Other projects' page! It is very long so I am planning on splitting that up into several pages. :D

Didn't read that page in its entirety - I'll go back to it :) It's best, btw, to use exclamation marks just for exclamations, not as a sort of highlighting device. Enough from me :D

Don't caravans make a huge mess when you chop em up? Used a £60 ebay special to make our car transporter :)

General presantation of the site looks good and really clean.

Large blocks of text with no images or linkys can seem a bit heavy going though.

Lawnmower racing hey - have a Suffolk Punch and an Atco sitting here that could maybe do with a bit more speed, as they only go at that classic 'just a bit too fast for walking'' speed :D

That is a cracking website, really enjoyed reading it 8)

I particularly enjoyed the bit about how you came to own your Morris (great story) and thought the font type/size/layout very easy to follow.

Do you take the Morris to Hull with you?

Looking forward to the "Morris Adventures" page :D

Added to favourites :)

Dear Spag, Yes the caravan did make a monstrous mess! There was polystyrene everywhere, sheet aluminium littering the floor all around us, and before we started there was also a complete interior and a load of rubbish inside. We simply took the aluminium to a scrap metal place and got £20 for it all and then burned all the wood from the interior etc we could. After that all the polystyrene insulation was taken to the tip in the trusty moggy :D

Lawnmower racing involved removing the engine limiter, tuning it and replacing the final drive gear ratio. After this they go like stink.

MrBenn thank you for your comments. I am glad you enjoyed it so much, it needs to be neatened up allot and spags idea of breaking up the text a bit will be a good idea. I will keep updating it as much as I can

Was a round of racing in Kent last year at a transport show, so watched a lot of that.

Keep up the good work on the site anyway, and let us know of changes !

I like it! Very well laid out. Interesting to find another person with a Moggy for a first proper driver... I agree, a few too many !s, but otherwise very good. Entertaining to read too- how'd you design it, out of interest? I'm thinking of setting one up!

Thanks Jack, I need to go through it and delete some of the '!' lol. Didnt realise quite how many I put in

Its very easy, there are several websites out there that allow you to create a website and host it for free. I am useless on a computer but theses websites also offer a web-making facility. Very simple to use and effective. You simply choose all the things you want and edit it.

The two main websites I know of are;
www.Freewebs.com
www.weebly.com - the on I am using
