I know it's not a Moggy but this car has been standing in a field near me I can't say rotting away beacuse it seems to be made out of aluminium but I have no idea what it is!
sorry for the large image if you want me to resize it just tell me it's big so maybe the details could be a bit more clear Sorry again
I think Frank you need to get a big stick and fight your way through the bushes and see if there are any makers marks on it.
It's crying out to be saved !!! never know you might have yourself a rare find?
Something about it looks really familiar but cant think where i've seen it before.
the car is actually on private property I couldnt get hold of the owner though! also the front is there it's just very much sloping forward and seems to be a whole thing with the body I.e. doesn't have a bonnet but that's a guess of a quick look!
Still a mystery. I have been thinking hard. I dont think its a Tatra. The angle of the A pillar made me think Porsche, but the back end is all wrong for that. Clueless! Not a Saab.
I certainly haven't a clue but don't think any of the other suggestions are correct. Being as it is an aluminium body, it could well be a one off, as there are very few cars that were panelled in aluminium.
could be Alec as the Old motors club Malta wasn't able to answer the question either, what I'm trying to do now is to find the owner or a neighbour owner of the field and maybe help me out
A possible is to send a copy of the picture to Mike Worthington-Williams of The Automobile magazine. He runs a feature on identifying obscure or rare cars.
Also the line of the front wing looks very steep - that and the presumably one piece rear window is why reckon i've seen it before.
Shall have to have a thumb through some of the old car books later.
Orkney ur're right the bonnet and front wing seem to be a one piece and are very steep from the front looks like a bubble car but the rear looks longer
