Ever been a motorcyclist with long hair

yes, but certainly not a 'biker' (not that I dislike bikers, just that I wasn't one as I only had a 100cc 2 stroke on L plates

)

Ditto. Ever noticed that 99% of Harley Bikers love the Moggy. Most of my mates are bikers, great crowd, nothing is ever too much trouble for them.

newbie baiting is unfair and unnecessary. it was suggested to me that i should ease my way in! should i bow my head when i walk into the same room as the clique???

Oh dear I didnt realise we were seen to be like that

The clique situation is not always what is seems and can just be a group of people discussing a problem or issue without realising that there is a new face at the meeeting, a think we try to avoid at all costs at our branch meetings, but you have to remember that some established faces are often too shy to speak to new faces and this can give the wrong impression.
Weathergirl if you are local to me come along to one of our branch meetings and you will just find a bunch of Moggie enthusiasts (in the main) glad to chat to new faces and bore you to death on our favorite subject

As for the board I was not aware that there was a clique

or is that something else I was not invited to become part off

i am sure that each and every one of you are lovely helpful people, its the keyboard that brings out the worse in some.

ive been on forums where things kick off. (not me)
if the forum subject is not important to me, i just leave.
this forum is not like that at all. i just felt it was gonna be my turn.

if im fair, i wrote what i felt about forums in general because the subject was up there to be commented on.

ive never been on the 'wrong end' before on any forum except sport

but i expect that on there.

i dont want to actually apologise for my comments but i think i was too harsh for this forum. in general tho, it applies.

Anyone else notice that ties are a magnet for baked beans? They seem to leap clean off your fork onto them.
I find it amazing given the area they occupy. Imagine, your chest coverage is probably 95% shirt and only 5% tie yet food always gets the tie.

Maybe we should make overalls and oil rags out of old ties thus negating the chance of spillage anywhere else?

I've made oil rags out of ties but didn't find them much use - T shirts are much better for soaking up oil (whether they are brand new or in your rags box

)

As a girl, I was brought up to open the door for whoever needed it opening, give up my seat to anyone who might need it and generally act in a considerate manner towards people regardless of their gender. Really sad that anyone feels the need to assert themselves by rejecting courtesy rather than graciously accepting it

It is a fine line between a close and friendly community and a clique, so perhaps it's inevitable the line is sometimes unwittingly crossed. Only met a couple of MMOC members so far, but looking forward to meeting more based on my current experiences.
