researching the clock i came across an "atmos" clock. very clever device, it uses fluctuations in temperature and atmospheric pressure to keep the mainspring would up. clockwork morris minor that never needs filling with fuel anyone??

apparently its a sealed box that expands and contracts, pushing. pulling a ratchet in the process. rest of the clockwork has to be very efficient as the amount of energy put into it is very small...
