Dizzy compatible?

Post by Peetee »

To save me moving a mountain of junk to get at an engine can anyone tell me if the dizzy cap and rotor from a 1275 Ital can be swapped with that of a 1098 Minor?
Older and more confused than I could ever imagine possible.

if its from an ital, then the fixing clamp is different, but the 1098 used the same dizzy mount from a marina engine

Hello Peetee,

I'm almost certain that they will not fit, the former is a 45D4 and the latter a 25D4 with different caps and rotors.

i meant that the dizzy from a marina has the same type of fixing plate.
the cap and rotor would make no difference as he wants to fit the whole dizzy fron an ital

But it won't fit a 1098 engine ! For some reason Leyland changed the whole arrangement - different drive shaft from the cam too.
