*big up the messageboard* :D

Post by wibble_puppy »

hi everyone,

for some reason i've been rather shy of posting this, but hey here goes.

i've said to a few people in private how good i think this forum is and how much i appreciate it. for me it's been probably the most important service provided by the club. i've met people, made friends, got loads of advice, both good and bad  , received some absolutely vital help, and generally felt part of a slightly bonkers community of people with similar aims to me, viz playing with minors and keeping them on the road where they belong.

the forum has an unusually friendly and welcoming atmosphere, and having been involved with running other forums i know just how hard this is to achieve and maintain. it's especially hard on the moderators and admin people, and i know from experience how much energy, drive, backbone and downright determined good humour it takes, working hard in the background so as to keep a forum puttering along in the foreground, cheerfully and usefully.

so i wanted to say a huge "Cheers!!" to everyone who contributes to the forum, whether members or non-members, and above all a very big thank you to everyone involved with building it, running it and maintaining it, past and present.

Thanks everyone :D

Blimey! Why thank you, from one who tries and is occasionally unfortunately dragged out of the back room... :D

I think this is the voice of the silent majority. I wholeheartedly agree. I find the board a really useful resource and full of friendly people.

I agree too. There's always someone who can answer your queries and it's a useful place to find parts you've been looking for too.

I also found my Minor via an ad on this site

Can I just add my twopence worth (or is that 1 euro?), and wholehartly agree with these sentiments.
So far I've only posted one comment & no questions, but have have had loads of my questions answered!!!
If it wasn't for this forum I don't think Richminor or myself would have attempted the restoration we're now in the middle of.
I'm a member of a number of other forums & this one is certainly one of the friendliest & knowledgeable I've come across.

Keep up the good work & hopefully as we've now started the long road of actually welding & putting things back on UIU221 I'll gain more confidence about asking nieve & unimformed questions.

Aye, I'd thought I'd chip in with agreement, and wholehearted thanks to the Moderators. I've done that job and it's usually pretty thankless - so thankyou guys! And everyone, you all rock :-)

And another agreement.

Apart from a couple of hiccups that I saw, the board is a very friendly place. Compared with a couple of other forums I frequent (see my Dark Side post) it is so welcoming and inclusive, it's great.
