Heater Control Valve

Post by aaroncollett »

I have noticed that regardless of where I position the Heater Control that the heater is always blowing hot. I have checked and the cable is operating the valve ok. Does the valve need replacing, or is it servicable?

Thanks, Aaron

Sounds like the valve has gone, there is not much you can do to it apart from some slight lubrication, you have checked that they cable is pulling the valve the whole way, check by seeing how far it moves with the cable then disconnect the cable and see if there is further movement as it may not be set properly.
Cheers

Good idea to keep water flowing anyway - stops silting up in the heater - and helps to cool the back end of the engine.
