I wonder where we picked up that stupid liabilty stuff. There aren't that many American tourists are there?

I knwo its silly, apprently you need goggles for a grease gun, or pop riveter! However brake fluid doesnt warn you its flammable?!

because it takes a lot of effort to set it alight. Pop riveter, yes, you never know, it might be the first time for someone. Grease gun.... it's called a gun, and thta is dangerous

true, but how do i know not to smoke when handling it (from idiot point of view), grease gun on the other hand, im stumped as to how you can hurt yourself with it, unless you forced it into your eye and pumped! Its ridiculous.

I haven't a clue how you can hurt yourself when using a grease gun, apart from bumping your head when in an awkward position under the car!

But foodwise, I think it very nice for people with allergies, so they can instantly see if they can have it or not. Which may sometimes be obvious, but easier to draw a line across the whole thing.

But we might have to get back to brakes now....

Thanks for the help Jonathan, i plan to upgrade the engine, so want to do the disc conversion.

Yes, if you 'phone the Minor specialists I think you will find that the OB Marina
based kits are still available, if that's what you want. Some very cheap deals
on discs and pads too. The favourite kits now are based on Ford products.

Hi,

Just to let you know.

I've actually just finished fitting double wishbones, Ford uprights and coil-overs to the front of my Pick-up.

This was all home built (using modified kit-car parts as necessary).
I didn't use a sub-frame just welded onto the new chassis with turrets and bracing as necessary!

I can send pics if you're interested.

Just need to sort a steering rack now, hence my other post.
Mark 2 Escort seems favourite at the moment (Sierra one is too wide - just DON'T ask me how I know :-? .......................... :wink: )

Thoughts now turning to wheel selection (any thoughts anybody??) and engine/auto 'box fit.
