It is getting silly now with these pack warnings! Pop into Sainsbury's and have a look at the back of their own brand peanuts!!! I nearly keeled on the floor laughing when I read 'Contain's nuts'. What a bizarre world we live in :o

because it takes a lot of effort to set it alight. Pop riveter, yes, you never know, it might be the first time for someone. Grease gun.... it's called a gun, and thta is dangerous

true, but how do i know not to smoke when handling it (from idiot point of view), grease gun on the other hand, im stumped as to how you can hurt yourself with it, unless you forced it into your eye and pumped! Its ridiculous.

I haven't a clue how you can hurt yourself when using a grease gun, apart from bumping your head when in an awkward position under the car!

But foodwise, I think it very nice for people with allergies, so they can instantly see if they can have it or not. Which may sometimes be obvious, but easier to draw a line across the whole thing.

But we might have to get back to brakes now....

jonathon wrote:Dan, its difficult to say really as thee are quite a few options available. Obviously a solid disc will be less money and the calipers we will be using should not attract such a high initial purchase price ans refurb cost, we may also offer rubber hoses rather than braided. I'm discussing the legal option of offering part kits, i.e just the 'special engineering' parts to allow purchasers to supply their own calipers and discs. The down side of this is if there is a failure of a none supplied part that could impact and cause a failure to our 'SE' parts. Here lies the legal problem. If we sell a full kit then we are responsible in everyway for it, and our product liability covers this. The part kit route may just prove unworkable, but I will definately be persuing this option,to find out. 8)
Thanks for the help Jonathan, i plan to upgrade the engine, so want to do the disc conversion.

Someone mentioned you do Mk2 Escort axles, what do you sell them for?

Thanks

Yes, if you 'phone the Minor specialists I think you will find that the OB Marina
based kits are still available, if that's what you want. Some very cheap deals
on discs and pads too. The favourite kits now are based on Ford products.

Hi,

Just to let you know.

I've actually just finished fitting double wishbones, Ford uprights and coil-overs to the front of my Pick-up.

This was all home built (using modified kit-car parts as necessary).
I didn't use a sub-frame just welded onto the new chassis with turrets and bracing as necessary!

I can send pics if you're interested.

Cheers

Ok,

Thanks guys.

I'll take pics over the weekend.

Just need to sort a steering rack now, hence my other post.
Mark 2 Escort seems favourite at the moment (Sierra one is too wide - just DON'T ask me how I know :-? .......................... )

Thoughts now turning to wheel selection (any thoughts anybody??) and engine/auto 'box fit.

Sounds like it's almost finished doesn't it!
Yeh, right!

Cheers

Martin :D

BTW - BigG - I guess I should up-date my sig pics as the Pick-up looks slightly different now! - contact you soon
