My 1960 minor was fitted with an ital 1275cc engine and gearbox. I've since changed the gearbox to a 1275 midget one (date unknown ). Can anyone tell me if any standard speedo cables will fit (minor/midget etc ) or will I have to get a special made. Thanks Terry

I've had a quick look and I think that there's room to use a few washers to bring the fan away from the engine breather, but I don't know which fan to use. Certainly there's no room for the ital fan with viscous coupling.

Ace parts have a good range, not that expensive. Try www.aceparts.com or they advertise on ebay. Terry

Can you explain why leaded or unleaded makes a difference to the valve clearances. I thought the valve guides were the problem with unleaded and why should the 15 thou only apply to the exhaust valves, thanks Terry

The Haynes manual recommends 12 thou for both inlet and exhaust.

I've been renewing the pedal arrangement on my 1960 minor and found the remains of a brake return spring. I can see where the spring fits to the brake pedal but what does the other end fix to. Also does the clutch pedal have a return spring and if so where does this fit. (Mines fitted with a midget ...

Got a set from ESM with the correct timng cover gasket 11 stud hole for for 1275 ital with tensioner. Superb service arrived next day
