Do you mean a squeak in time with the wheel rotation or a squeak as your suspension goes up and down? Sounds to me like your wheel bearings are worn, it can make a noise when the weight shifts when your going round a corner and eventually will will make a continious noise. I say, if your doing the prep work but your getting it sprayed by a pro then id go for sattin. This is no disraspect but doing the prep work for gloss is sooo hard, where as satin makes your life a little easyer because it wont show all the lumps and bumps. my moggy is done in sattin but i just cut ...

well i have a ford escort mk2 rear axle, i have a 3.54 rear diff, its quite low but i do have a marina 1300 engine and box. i have 14x7" rear wheels but had to widen the the arches about 1.5"[frame][/frame]

Thanks for that. yep couldnt move anymore freely.

The only thing i did notice was that at the top of the needle, (where it goes into the damper) there is a slight bend in it witch makes it sit at a lean, but the needle wobles so would that matter?

Thankyou for all your replys Okay so had a play this afternoon. i took out the buterfly and soldered up the whole, was quite pleased with that. i then went to check if have any air leaks, didn't come across anything bad. So then put back on the carb etc. Started it up and it all seemed okay, it did ...

Some of the HIF carbs have a little 'damper' attached to the side - which is designed (I can't think why) to only let the throttle close slowly.
