you mean RainX I find it works ok and lasts about a month theres also an anti mist stuff by them for inside thats quite good for old cars with not the best heaters are the springs on the wiper arms tight ie will they spring back onto the screen with a thud ? if not the springs are probably stretched...

Rear axle bearing replacement
is it realy as easy as this little minor manual says to remove the halfshaft ? http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b310/16vbanger/00000197.jpg as my drivers rear wheel rocks like a wheel bearing loose on a fwd car if it is that easy how much is the bearing and where from :D I dont have an haynes just ...

yup I'll unplug it and leave it where it is and when I get rid the new owner will be supplied with the original alternator ;) I understand the originalist owners sort of but me myself could'nt give a monkeys about originality ;) I just love driveing classics but want some modern'ish comforts espicia...

ah so the soloution is to fit a modern alternator and wire it accordingly thats cool I have a decent alternator somewhere from a mini ;) it was the rest of the car that worried me ;) I'll just tuck the original wireing out of the way and leave the control box where it is and put the alternator in st...

so does anyone know whats entailed in makeing it neg earth ? I vaguely remember being told its a simple job of flashing it to be the way I want but I dont remember with enough detail to go out and do it I need to convert as I have a whole heap of smiths gauges and I want a rev counter and temp gauge...
