I have used redex occasionally before now,

20w50 normally,

Im told its a marina 1275
no spacer,

its the aftermarket conversion.
bought another kit as garage mullered the old one,
new seal lasts about 200 miles, instructions say machine the crank end,
not done, when I pull the engine its getting a speedy sleeve and new seal,

I have a rebuilt 1275 from them,
the rear crank seal leaks.. lots

I have a photo of the certificate and list of numbers on my phone,

I bought a magnetic sweeping brush from ebay,
trouble is it also finds other lost things in the gravel, like nails I didnt know were lost,

last week a mate needed a piece of ally,

went in the garage and found a selection,

reckon it was there ten years

I have just moved my traveller insurance to the club scheme,
saved me £40 + and better terms, still waiting for paperwork,

tried the house insurance, similar to my renewal but £90 more than moneysupermarket

I was sent that exact card on my hip job the other year,

I have had 4 cars tested this year,
£40 £30, free all at same place (free was a return for a favour,)
and £45 at another garage,

each time I get a chance to get under the car on a pit,

I asked ESM about a speedy sleeve, "Unfortunately, we do not offer a speedy sleeve for the end of the crank, this will need to be machined smooth in order to work properly. Alternatively, the issue could lie elsewhere e.g engine breathing, worn main bearings." its a rebuilt engine, was fin...

dont forget, a cover makes it stand out,
to most people its "just an old car" with a cover it draws more attention,

I had an intermittent horn,
I took the push out and cleaned the contacts, plus the copper strip on the columb,

all working well ever since,

I had camac on cars years ago
was told they are polish uniroyals.

didnt know you could still get them,

I quite like that,

I am in the same position my MOT runs out next week,
booked in with a kindly tester this thursday

I like the idea of a second pair of eyes checking things,

dont cover it, a good wax polish will protect it more,

some form of steering lock is advised, and a tracker (just in case)
I find the local kids like old cars so will keep an eye on it,

edit, so it looks like I wont get a seal retainer to fit, (the engine was built for the previous owner) would a speedy sleeve work with the "improved" seal kit?
until this is sorted I cant take the car far to go to any local or national meetings.
