Spin-on Oil Filter Conversions

I want to fit the Spin-on oil filter conversion kit from Moss. This is the one which uses the existing filter head, and seems to me to have the advantage of not disturbing existing 40 year old pipework. Moss' catalogue states that the kit is good for all Tecalamit heads EXCEPT those with a casting n...

Rough engine Idle

I find that once it has warmed up the engine vibrates quite a lot at tick-over, and I get uneven 'lumpy' low speed running in 1st and 2nd gears, yet 3rd and 4th are smooth at even the lowest speeds.

Can anyone tell me the reason and cure?

Willie:

Many thanks for going to this trouble for me - unfortunately the page you've sent is from the Workshop Manual (AKD530H), when the page I need is from the Mechanical Service Parts List (AKD3541).

Thank you, anyway.

Kind regards,

Willie:

Many thanks.

MN6 should concern the Fuse Block and Switches. The preceeding page, which would face MN6 is Plate N5 which depicts the indicator stalk and dashboard switches. The succeeding page which would follow MN6 starts with the sub heading Electrical Equipment - continued

Workshop Manual AKD3541 - Missing Page Wanted

Would a kind person with a copy of AKD3541 be prepared to scan and e-mail me both sides of page MN6?

Many thanks.

Hello Chris, the alternator is probably faulty; and it sounds as though the regulator is not functioning, probably it is now overcharging. If you can do a voltage check with a meter the standard running voltage is about 14.6 volts. If you don't have a meter, sniff around the battery, if it smells d...

Dennis. Thanks, but I haven't touched the coil since I fitted it several years ago.

Ignition Light Glowing

The ignition light on my 1962 Minor 1000 does not illuminate at tick-over, but glows as engine revs increase. The light glows brighter when the headlights are switched on, again going out at tick-over. I have an alternator fitted. I have just driven 20 miles with wipers and heater on, and the batte...
