Hi

What should the gap be between the top of the rear axle bumpstop and the body on a 2 door saloon? Mine is about 2 inches and seems low - Springs & dampers are good.

Just looking to compare & see whats normal.

Has anyone found their new oil sender won't thread in all the way? Purchased a new one from Wares but it has around 3-5mm of thread exposed when tight.

Further to this - How tight would everyone do up the rear shackles? Till the nut runs out of thread, Just touching rubber bushes, or "snug"

Mine arn't all that rusty, Just very oil and with grime mixed in. Agree with you re salty water but what about plain tap water and lots of degreaser followed by a through heat gun dry out?

What are the types/sizes of flare nuts used on the Minor? Specifically the master cylinder line. Will be buying some spanners so would like to get the correct ones.
