how much difference does higher compression make?

hi all, my 948 is currently running at about 90psi in all 4 cylinders.. i have heard around the grape vine that the standard/new pressure is around 160psi.. how much difference does this make to the engine, and is it worth either reseating the valves or replacing the rings?? what sort of work is inv...

Re: speedo trouble

i took the speedo all apart, and there apears to be no way of 'adjusting' the spring, of coarse i can try to unbend it i guess, but that isnt very accuarate.

can you suggest an accurate way to unbend/loosen the spring?

Re: speedo trouble

yes the filler is in the back of the diff, which i believe makes it the 8/43 ratio...

what do the two screws on the back of the speedo do? is there a way to adjust the spring tension?

Re: stange problem

replace all filters, and checked the fuel flow, it is fine.. the problem is that when you accelerate, all is fine until you get to a certain RPM (on each gear) then it just splutters.. and losses all power until the next gear change (up) then it goes fine until it gets to a high RPM, this happens th...
