i have developed a rattle in my front suspension somewhere on my 58 van. i assume its some of the bushes. its fine on straight road but when there is a curve it starts to rattle. does any body know which bushes (if it is bushes) would cause this.
and also how long does it normally take people to strip down the front end and replace the bushes.
thanks

Re: rattle in front end
it would only take about 1 hour to do all the suspension bushes on one side

Re: rattle in front end
The rattle may be trunnions - inspect them carefully - or loose damper retaining bolts!

Re: rattle in front end
could it be in the steering box as both sides started to become affected at the same time?
Re: rattle in front end
Well - it's a steering rack - not box - and they are not that prone to rattling. Sure it's not a loose tool left under the bonnet ? And have you checked the damper bolts ? And - check the wheel nuts!!!!!!!!!!!!
