Yeah I can see where you are coming from with that, but my other half has a pickup so don't think it'll look out of place. Not sure I want to go down the "fake" stick on root. She originally wanted it to be cream or mother of pearl paint but she saw a pic of a chrome one and likes that bet...

Chrome door strip to bonnet plus grille

Hey all, I've seen in some pics of moggy's over the net that some seem to sport a chrome door strip and bonnet strip does anyone know if someone makes these as over covers or direct replacements etc. Also the same goes for the grille, does anyone do the chrome ones or is it a trip to the platers. Re...

cheers for that, will look at them on week end. I've been reading that a 3.7 diff from a riley 1500 fits, would like to look at that in more detail.

Any difference between the original diffs besides the ratios

Wurth do a spot weld drill bit thats a little pricey but lasts an age and is great at its job. Thin scraper type tool is good to hunt spot welds, slide it inbetween the panels in question, gently tap along untill it hits the next spot weld. Or if your not bothered about the panel to much, use an air...

Massive costs I think. Mind you when I was an aprentice I kinda had the similar effect from my gun ha ha. There are some people out there that proclaim its not in the painting but the flat and polishing. And they'll be right to a point. The only way to get a completly flat finish i.e not orangeish p...

Red Oxide is ok so long as you get the right one, don't skimp on money and don't use synthetic. If possible, and this is a bit naughty, keep eye out for some old lead based red oxide, best is always the oldest. You may want to be very careful spraying it though. Old school trick is if in doubt do a ...

Depends on how long the primer has been on and where she has stood. Primer is pourous and can hold moisture for a suprisingly long time. Personally if you've got a nice dry garage now I would strip it all back the red oxide then apply good quality primer.

Odd, when I spoke to ah powerflex not superflex, just clicked. Powerflex do thier hardest in black and is a two to four week wait. Had to do my e34 in them as the yellows couldn't put up with the load. Interestingly when I spoke to them they said the same thing, "our yellows don't last on the f...

A word of warning on poly's though, the colours do state a different density. Now see if I get this right.... yellow is the softest then followed by purple, red is harder again but the hardest of all is the black. Power flex can supply black ones but takes two weeks to manufacture them. They are p56...
