I was just wondering (Yes I have already ordered) what is actually included in an re-upholstery kit? The foamy bits as well? Can I start from bare metal as it were?

Onne, Proceed with caution ! I bought replacement covers for our 1971 1000 Traveller (vinyl-but leather was an option) from Newton Commercial and they consisted only of the pullover cover, ie relying on the basic steel, springs and foam of the original seat for structure which was OK on ours. Extra elements in these replacement packages depends on year and model. Catalogue I have shows base and squab covers, base foam, squab padding kit and a base frame wrap and seat straps. Didn't see any metal replacement parts (frames or springs) on offer. Before stripping down your seats any further suggest you double check with supplier on exact content of available replacement materials. Good luck with this. Ron
BTW Newton Commercial very helpful with inquiries-phone or email.
I will ask ESM, where I purchased it, to tell me what is included.
It did cost a fair penny, but I have gone for leather
