door trim and bumpers

Post by gwr6024 »

Can anybody tell me how to fit the trim which goes around the door opening. I have the material and rubber type with clips. Also do you know if stainless steel bumpers are available - if so where.
Thanks,
Anne

Firstly place the little metal clips onto the frame and tap them into place with a hammer. They should trap the lining material from the footwell panels which should be wrapped round the edge of the frame. Now tap the draught excluder onto the clips, rubber outwards. The clips are gripped by the metal "U" shaped part of the trim.

Note that at the bottom of each post you should trim the draught excluder so that the metal/fabric section finishes at the top of the kick plate, but the rubber continues down outside the kick plate. This ensures that water is directed outside the car and thus keeps your feet dry.
