James - don't have a clue. I did think of it's original platinum grey, but don't think car would suit it. I also thought of the Ford RS blue, but am undecided. Nearer the time I may start a poll.

That was my mate's V8 minor that was sold recently. He resprayed it the correct 'almond green' and it looked a lot better. I unfortunately don't like the colour green and avoid it at all costs - would even have bought mate's minor if it had not been green.
I'll just wait and see - although a lot of folk want me to do it orange. It has been either blaze red or cinnibar red for most of it's 34 years with me, with a brief spell in VW Ancona blue which I quite liked. I did think of doing it kingfisher blue like my other minor, but it would be silly to have 2 the same.
Still this decision is a bit away, but I will have to do the chassis soon, and current thinking is that this should be a contrasting colour to the bodywork. Engine will be painted Ford blue, so chassis may be this to match, with either blue or grey bodywork, but this is today and tomorrow is another day.
1986 ish
My minor and mate's last year
Same run
This minor from 1975 was my inspiration - another friend from many years ago - ford 289 powered

I tried to buy it several times, but don't think mate wanted it in the immediate area (kinda fell out about it).
Last I heard was it was in the North of Scotland with a Rover V8 fitted, but this was at least 15 years ago. The inlet manifold of the 289 was converted to SU's, and this ended up at a swap meet - only sign of car I've seen.
Car was called 'Astral Traveller' and did the show circuit for a while and was built by George Watt and Dunc Wood in a chicken shed near Forfar (Finavon). It was the first candy apple paint I'd seen in the flesh, and was one of a number of hot minors that were terrorising this area.
Also built in this shed was a jag powered HA viva - this was quite a tool as well - don't know where this is either.

Pete, do you know anything about the wheels? What size/spec are they?
