Is there any guide as to what goes where and which colour it should be? As in written down?

Apart from the 'guide' books like Ray Newell's 'Original Morris Minor' I don't think so. That's what makes it fun!

Onne, actually, there IS a book of wisdom and it's called Bill (Judge).

If we had more enthusiasts like you Cam, and many others that use this site, I don't think there would be any need to worry about the future of the MMOC.
Now who's a 'suck-up'?

Gee guys, you'll get a severe case of gravel rash if you keep this up

.
Onne, I've found the genuine parts manual invaluble when restoring a MM.
It shows which way round all the bolts go; what sort of washers go where; how parts are assembled in general; types of screws used........
It doesn't help with colours though

and blue "cruising lights"...
mmmm... blue lights

gotta be done sooner or later - although to make it 'proper retro' it would just be a red light by the diff
