I'm not sure if this is mechanical or electrical .. (probably both) ..

I have a "DM2" dizzy that apprears ok ..

the dizzy in the car has "25" where DM2 is on the "Spare" dizzy ...

If I swap them with anything terrible happen ? (Or nothing at all)

Provided they have the same mounting to the block - swop away. Why do you want to do this ?

I went to change the points on "Pod" and found that the plate you mount the contact breakers on was very loose in the up/Down way and found that there was no way that new set of contact breakers would fit and gap. When I took it out I found that bit of it were very very bent ..

I don't know how this happened but it explains why it was running so roughly ..

With my "Spares Car" I got four boxes of "Bits" including this "DM2" dizzy ..

It works and the car runs beatifully :) There was "O" ring on the 25 Dizzy that isn't on the DM2 so I assume that the clamp bolt won't be rusted solid next time I need to move it ..
:P

Well done - just check the vacuum unit still works - the diaphragm usually fails after about 10 years - and the centrifugal advance is free and moving ok.
