Door handle locks
Hello everyone , i have a couple of door handles with locks on them but i don't have any keys for them, now the door handle on my pick-up broke is it possible to chnage the locks from one handle to another? Thanks
I think from some minor specialists you can buy just the keys
and barrel that you fit in the rest of the lock:

not sure about postage to malta though...
Hope this helps,
Tim

To answer your original question, YES. If you clean the whole assembly you will find that there is a small pin (1/16 inch?) that retains the lock barrel. Drive this pin out (but don't lose it) then insert the key and withdraw the lock barrel. Refitting is a reversal, but lining up the spring that centres the barrel is a bit fiddly.
Alternatively, there is a much larger pin that retains the handle. Drive out the pin and remove the handle. Fit new handle to replace broken one and replace pin. Good luck.
