Help sidevalve Motor ID

Post by nib46 »

:o Hi
I have a motor that Iam not sure of the stamp on the casting reads
morris motor Limited Number 132581 type USH M3 as far as I know this has come out of a morris minor around the 50's However it does not have a water pump on it but does have a plate. The USH M2 however did not have a water pump fitted, and was this form the low light series bound for the states. Could someone enlighten me with the spec's for this motor also. thanks for your coments. :o

nib, The internal 'specs' are the same for all the sidevalve engines fitted to the Minor.

As Onne said, The USHM2 has no provision for the waterpump but the USHM3 had so you could either have it with a heater and pump or without. If it was no waterpump fitted then it will have a blanking plate on the front and a blanking plug where the heater tap would be.
