Can anyone pl tell me what is the correct length of the prop shaft? I ended up with two shafts one 42 in and the other 44.5 in (omitting both yokes)

Hi I dont know if there are different lengths for different models as you didnt say what yours is but you could give one of the specialists a call.

Right, I've measured the standard 1098 one that came off my 4 door saloon and it measures (omitting the yokes) 44 5/8"
Measuring yoke centre to yoke centre it measures: 46 3/4"
Hope this helps.

cam, are the yokes parallell or diplaced through an angle?

The ones on the shaft itself are parallel which is why I could measure the yoke centre-to-centre easily.
I don't think it matters though as long as you have the same mass on the other side it should balance out.

thanks, in fact the shaft which has the parallel yokes has the right measurement as well, that solves it then...
