My "new" lowlight

I thought I would show off my latest acquisition which I picked up last weekend.
She's car# 922 which is early Dec 1948 production.

I had to travel 2600km to pick her up though, but I'm sure it's worth it. It's not as good as described on eBay & needs a few accident repairs sorting out but rust wise, she's near perfect :D .

All loaded up at Milang in South Australia:

Back home & with a rear axle fitted for some mobility:

Severe rust here:

Ahh, the joys of Morris Minoring in Australia  .

I'm not too sure what my plans are for her at the moment. I bought the car hoping to use the body to replace the damaged one on #1228 but I'm not too sure I should waste a very early lowlight to help another.

She's not complete & without the original engine, but I have other lowlights that could contribute a few parts. The other cars aren't '48s though & some parts are particular to the early cars.

I'll get her onto 4 wheels & under cover to start with anyway.

Swine. Is it the earliest Aus survivor, or are we waiting on news of that?

It's the earliest known post war Morris Minor in Australia.
There must be others around somewhere but they might have been reincarnated into a Japanese car by now  .

Double swine - and there's no handy emoticon for 'green with envy' :D

Actually, the whole body is covered in surface rust. It was stripped down & acid dipped 20 years ago :-? . It should be OK though  .
