Are you the current owner of this car? If so, you are in possession of an historically important Minor, at least in MMOC terms. There is plenty of documented history attached to it, including a book by it's first owner (alas no longer with us) who was a well-known and popular MMOC member.

I shall try to assemble some of this for you when I have a moment, but it may take some time - so please be patient.

Thanks for taking time to reply. Regrettably no-not the owner. Just heard some talk about it and was curious. Suspect the owner has knowledge of its past but haven't met him/her. Would be interested in its past or a link to it if not too much trouble for you.
Thanks, Ron

The book you should acquire is MAGNIFICENT MORRIS MINOR by Max Horvat, published in 1990 by Bookmarque (ISBN 1870519108).

Max bought the car new; I do not know who owns it currently, but I believe it was bought by another MMOC member who was known to him. The MMOC office in Derby may be able to assist you, but it will be bound by the terms of the Data Protection Act of course.

The book is now out-of-print and I have so far been unable to find any trace of Bookmarque, which was at that time based in Minster Lovell; perhaps it has been taken over by another firm or ceased trading. However, there are several copies available from various sources on
www.ask.com and there is one on eBay which is attractively priced. Enter the title under the 'Motoring - Books' section and look for Item number
8378719552.

Good luck!

Hi Vilebrequin,
Went after www.ask.com and found a copy with Aucott & Thomas-p&p much cheaper (£1.50) than the ebayers. You're some archivist and a great help on the board ! Good luck if you're also now hunting a copy and many thanks for your expert help. Cheers, Ron
