Hello all

I was just wondering if anyone knew of a supplier that did the (?)rexine headlining for the MM.

I do have a supplier now, but they have a rather steep price
And I have only got until the end of the week to decide. They are asking about £200, incl shipping and VAT. Made in Sri Lanka. Tamil tiger headlining, as long as there aren't any extra holes in them!

Newton commercial said they could recover mine if the hardboard was in good condition (which luckily mine is).

They did not give me a price though.

Well, I haven't got any hardboard left, so I'll place my order then...

am I right in calling it rexine plates?

It's only £200 anyway... :o :o :o :x

I have seen rexine mentioned as a headlining material (I can't remember for which model though & I don't have any references handy) but I've just done a Google search & it appears to be a leather like material:

This definitely did not cover the headboards in my early Series MM - mine was more like a loose(ish) felt type material.

I'll check tonight & see if I can find any details about production changes.

Onne, I had a quick look & it seems the early MMs were cloth covered & the later ones Rexine covered.
I couldn't see any definite car# range in any books but, interestingly, the parts book lists all 3 headboards (cloth, beige Rexine, grey Rexine) from car# 501 :-? .

So I'll butt out now & let you get on with your Rexine headlining  .

Well, that is what my local expert says. Lot of money though. Wasn't a cheap car so far, but this does add it up even more!
