saloon bumper irons

r they the same shape for front and rear, cos ive just remembered throwing out the knackered valace/bumpers complete with the mounting irons :x :x :x , but ive got a spare front

Sorry but NO. They have different part numbers in the original factory lists. Also, if you look at them the rear ones have a mounting bracket with two holes for bolts; whereas the fron ones are more like a tube that is welded to the inner wing. Bad luck.

Not sure if I've interpreted the "irons" correctly - did you mean the mounting irons or the sprung blade that sits behind the chrome blade and under the valance? In either case the parts are different - if the latter interpretation then the front one has a hole for the starting handle !
