1098 Clutch Friction Plate Thickness?

Hi folks,
I am shortly going to change engines on my 1965 4-door. The old one has a Borg & Beck clutch that was fitted about 5 years ago. It has only about 3,500 miles on it, 3,000 of those since I bought the car at the beginning of October this year! Has anyone any idea of the thickness of a new clutch friction plate? I will be measuring the thickness of the old plate when disassembled, and want to judge if it is worthwhile forking out for a new clutch assembly. Obviously I'd rather avoid the expense at this time of year, but don't want to make extra work for a few months down the line!
Any info would be greatly appreciated,
Cheers,
Dom
