WHAT'S BEST WAY TO STORE ENGINE ?

Post by ronwilson »

Took the 1098 engine out of our 1971 Moggie about 4 years ago when starting its restoration. Ran well and had only clocked 56K at that time. It's now sitting outdoors under wraps. Any advice ?

4 years ago would have been a good time to ask! Maybe all you can do now is fill the cylinders with oil, well pehaps not full, and turn the engine over a few times, if it will turn, and put it in a shed or garage.

I can't say too much about that Dennis, I've had my van about 4 years and I've still a mile to go, everyday life keeps getting in the way! The engine is inside though!
