This part of my car has caused constant probs as the lower part of the pillar wich goes to the body has rotted at some point and been ground out and fillered both sides!. The problem is when the door are opened and shut it puts stress on these parts wich have craked badley I have tried different fillers poly, P40, P38 with the problem returning in a matter of weeks
Could anyone help as this lets my car down as it is mint and restored.

The real problem is that the fillers offer no structural strength...have tried different fillers poly, P40, P38 with the problem returning in a matter of weeks

Try cleaning all the filler out, de-rusting and rebuilding the pillar using the "B" Pillar repair panels (see ESM website - as an example). They aren't too expensive (tenners - not hundreds - must be cheaper than all the fillers!)
This will need welding unfortunatley, but it's going to be a lot better than having it either fall apart, or fail the next MOT.
I would also seriously consider taking it back to the restorer -
Is just a little questionable, I'd expect the body shell to be structurally sound on a restoration.it is mint and restored
Good luck,
Colin

The body work is sound apart from that part But cheers for the advise. I dont reckon it will fail an MOT as it passed the last one that was the first it had after resto all it should need now is streched hand brake cable to replace and a head lamp trim whitch fell off
and got run over by a tractor!

Sam, Do you mean the small section square pillar that goes between the roof and the top of the rear quarter panel that the front of the side screen rubber fits onto. If so it seems to be a regular fault for the pillar to crack where it fits onto the top of rear quarter panel. I welded mine up all round, but of course it then needs a local paint job.
