camshaft and crankshft gears stuck

I am having problems getting the camshaft and crankshaft gears off with the the haynes 'screwdrivers at 180' method (and Haynes is confusing on the number of woodruff keys I will find). Will a puller help? Any particular sort? Or some other method? Thanks

Never had any problems with this - screwdrivers are a bit thin - I use two tyre levers. Some of the Pound shops sell really good looking 'wrecker' bars. May not be the very best metal in the world - but great for jobs like this. There will be a key in each gear.
