I need to bolt my aftermarket top-steady kit to the bulkhead... (it's been mounted to the engine for 10 days and it will rattle a lot if/when the car gets put back together)
Therefore I would like to know which size bolts to ask for. (either the bolt size or an equivalent bolt from elsewhere on the car)

G'day Ray,

I did the same thing with my steady kit. After trying unsuccessfully for ages to find a bolt with the same thread, I wound up removing one of the shock absorber bolts and taking it to my supplier to find a match. Even then it took him ages to find the right one.

It'd be BSF .....I'd guess 1/4" BSF, maybe 5/16 BSF.

Try a door hinge or wing bolt, I'm pretty sure they're the same size thread.

Cheers scott - I'll try a wing bolt to start with but if it fits it'll be too short to be a long term fix. I hadn't thought to try a shock bolt

A bit late Ray, but it should be 5/16 bsf.

Cheers Les - not Actually too late! I only got home late last night so I have not made any progress since heading to the airport on Sunday evening....
7 days 11 hours to go!

Thanks to one and all!
On Sunday I found a pair of rather long seat mounting bolts (5/16" BSF) so I gave them a try and they fitted perfectly :D
