Wheel colours

was the silver/grey an option for the buyer or was it standard? I don't want to sound stupid but I really want to know

It depends on the year, I think it was around E reg that they changed over to silver/grey instead of old english white!

It was in 1967, probably at the August changeover from E to F reg?
Asthetically I must say I much prefer OEW - only a few sticklers for perfection won't like it
