Hello , i'm about to buy a Traveller in Great Britain , and try to have it registered in France .

The French administration is very reluctant to give a carte grise ( V5) for that kind of car , and i need some data in order to have my car registered .

Is someone can give me this info ???

What i need is :

Kerb weight -->in kgs

Weight distribution --> front / rear

Total weight with maximum freight --> kgs

Type number ( on the identification plate)

thank's

Traveller Kerb weight --786 kgs in running order.

Weight distribution (empty) -- 57% front / 43% rear

Total weight with maximum freight --> kgs?

Probably 200kg (2 large persons) and 250kg (load in rear) so 1,236 kg maximum? Say 1,250 kg to be sure.

Type number (on the identification plate).
On my later (1970) traveller it only states :MAW5D (then the 7 digit serial no.)

There are quite a few minors already registered in France so it shouldn't be a problem. I hope this helps.

Thank's a lot !!
Do you know the meaning of the D letter after MAW5 ,,,????

It's true there is some Minor registered in France , but most of them have a "carte grise collection" .Less difficult to obtain but very restrictive on the use of the car .

best regards

Stephane
