Hi Folks,

Does anyone know when the MM Series stopped using the bumper with the bolted filler plate to cover up the 4" gap?

Cheers

Nick

Hi Brixton

About the Lo-Lite innerwings I think you mean the "hole" in enginebay where Lo-Lite headlamp is fittet. In my collection of production information I cant find when the innerwings changed.
what I can tell you is that a Hi-lite SMM 88756 from March 1951 still have the "Lo-Lite innerwings" !!!

Do you also know that in 1951 there were sold 64 of the 4-door models in Denmark called Morris Major ??? The diffrence is the small " Morris Minor" chrome sighn on each side of the bonnet is changed with " Morris Major " and then the rear screen is fittet with a chrome finisher. They do not have the "Lo-Lite inerwings"

Hope this help you a little.

Regards
Svantemann

Could one modify the later bumper, to make it look like a split bumper?
Like cutting it in half and welding a metal piece in between. (or however they where attached)

Onne

about bumpers, when did they change the rear mounting points? My bumper is held, or rather was, by two brackets, bolted to the bottom two wing bolts
