Also need your help on another matter, does anyone know where I can get, or who makes the yellow poly bush's with the AWC part number stamped in them. I have these on my van but need to replace them due to wear. I would prefer these yellow ones as the red and blue ones I put in the traveller are far to hard and squeaky for my liking.

Minor Mania supplied mine a couple of years ago, so they may be able to help.

How long have they lasted? I thought the idea of polybushes is that they should last much longer? Perhaps the yellow ones aren't worth using if they wear out quickly!
I would speak to several Minor specialists and see if there is a consensus between them before buying.

He never said it was quick ;) He might have gone through a few sets of the cheap rubbish standard ones that are sold these days.
I was informed a few weeks ago that superflex used to do 3 grades soft/medium/sport which were blue / yellow / red.
It is now hard / impossible to get the yellow ones.
Thi is only from memory as I'm only a begginer in the poly bush stakes (I bought & fitted fitted my first poly bushes 2 weeks ago - red ones for the front eyebolts)

How long have they lasted is a good question. I believe the previous owner fitted them before doing (and winning) the John O'Grouts to lands end in 1999. So a good 6 years I would guess, and I did give the poor old van some stick in the 4 years she was on the road with me. The ones that need replacing are not damaged due to wearing out like normal rubber ones but have torn apart due to the suspension not being cleaned and lubricated properly when fitted, well I think thats what caused it.
I like the Yellow ones as they are as flexable as rubber but should abviously last longer.
It sounds like I could be out of luck then Ray if it was superflex bushes I have. Oh well, I'll let you all know if I find some.
cheers.

The yellow bushes were AWC (ACW's) own make which to be honest were not the best quality, and varied too much in consistancy. As this company no longer trades as a minor specialist they may have stopped the production.
We have tested poly bushes with our mods and have found the best to be the Superflex variety. They are a bit more expensive than others but we feel they represent very good value for money, and they are self lubing into the bargain

I stand corrected then

- I told you I wasn't an expert on poly bushes, although I'm sure someone said there were 3 grades and now only 2...

Jonathon's Superflex ones (yellow) are great. I have them fitted all round on my modified car.

Thanks Jonathon, this answers my question perfectly. In that case I will get some Superflex ones, I live not far from the company so will call in there and pick up a set.
thanks everyone for your help.
cheers.
