list of all nuts, bolts, washers, clevis pins etc needed?

hiya,

as some of you know (/are sick and tired of hearing) i'm in the middle of a "nut and bolt" restoration of my little van.

I take the expression "nut and bolt restoration" to imply that when reassembling the vehicle all the nuts and bolts etc will be new. Dunno if this is correct but it's what I'll be doing.

Before I start the tedious task of compiling a list of all the nuts, bolts, washers, grommets etc which are needed, does anyone know whether such a list already exists?

just to kick you off there are 12 wheel nuts, a very large nut for the steering wheel, and some smaller ones around other areas of the van

With my recent experiences on the infamous pickup, I've been starting to think "nut and bolt restoration" means literally just that - So far I've not done a bad job cleaning up said nuts and bolts...

Cor! This don't half bring the jokers out, dunnit!
But the idea of even an incomplete list is a good 'un and if it doesn't exist then a website like this seems to me the ideal place for it to be compiled. Could not a reference "bin" be constructed into which the types and dimensions of nuts,bolt, washers and spanners could be described whenever anyone does any work and feels like telling the rest of us? A bin would be necessary for each type of vehicle, of course.
Just for starters, the club mag had a list of about 50-60 spanners sizes generated by one Albert Southerden a couple of years ago. Alas, my photo copy doesn't have the reference. I'm sure Rob Thomasson would know though. Regards, MikeN.

well i shall go off and embark on my quest then. It appeals to what my grandmother would call my "finicky" side. Sad story from my youth: during our little birthday parties my mother would form us into two teams and place before each team two empty bowls and a tray full of a mixture of (raw) lentils and rice. Guess what the game was?

Quite a lot of mog (the brown crumbly bits) ended up in our wheelie-bin. Is this what you mean?
