Sorry, Onne, I don't think it does.

Unless any Sheffield folk can contradict me, I believe it's now this cinema. :o

that would be the one! thanks Gareth.

At least it hasn't been destroyed. It would be nice to drive up there and say "My car was delivered her 50 years ago!"

Pure sentiment!

KENNINGS are still listed in Sheffield as 'used car dealers' at:

174a, Barnsley Rd.,
Sheffield,
S4 7AF Tel: 0114 243 0333

I seem to recall that it was the now (apparently defunct) branch in Leadmill Road where a group of apprentices restored the first production Minor (NWL 576, chassis no.501) when it was traced via a national newspaper competition many years ago. The owner, a farmer, was presented with a brand new Minor in return for the surrender of NWL 576.

I might give this a go, I will call them tomorrow. Thank you very much indeed.

I did think the original Kennings building is now some sort of cinema, or artistic centre

What a gorgeous building. Thank goodness it's been saved and not knocked down for the benefit of some cowshed aesthetic tesco abomination.

The building does look very Morris Minor, doesn't it?
