Need Help in Australia

Post by bigneale »

I'm trying to find out the year of my Morris I've just brought here in Brisbane, Australia.
One of the plates on the firewall, Chassis #48006, Engine #46961,
Type SMM, & Stock #527(1)or(7) its hard to read the plate.
It is Reg as a 1951, but I've been told its a 1948 model.
Its a LowLight model, Maroon in colour.
Hope someone can help me.
Thanks Neale.

As in the other post, an early 1950 (first six months) built car.

I have nr 57192, which dates it to about july '50.

Is yours a CKD model? Completely Knocked Down?

you can tell idf there are two strips of metal beneath the battery tray, from one side ofthe car to the other side!

Any pictures btw???

Gee, the Low Light club is getting bigger all the time :D :D .
Welcome aboard Bigneale.

PS
I hope you're not too big - the sidevalve struggles as it is  .
