i need a new wipermotor,or soI am told. the wipers start ok but then start sticking and then stop altogether. I don't want topay £70 +vat as i have been quoted but I need to know what model I need for my 1967 traveller. If i buy one on e-bay, what model car can it have come off and still be suitable for mine. Please.

I have a sneaky feeling a Triumhp Dolomite one will fit the mountings, but you'd have to fiddle with the wiring of course! A bit of adaptation would then give you a 2 speed (slow and slower) wipe too
But before you go ahead with that idea, try and borrow one from someone to see if it'll line up and be easy enough to fit (worst case is drill new holes, and I think the Dolomite one would have to be solid mounted instead of using the Moggie rubber bits). I can't find my spare to test the idea myself

You could also try Matt to see if he still has the wiper motor from his traveller.
As far as I know, all the 1098 Minors have the same wiper assembly.
I repaired a wiper motor last year using new brushes (and one new brush holder as it had continued to run with worn out brushes until it wore the brush holder away). I only tried a few places and they didn't stock the wiper motor brushes so I cut down a brush from a scrap alternator instead (quite fiddly as the carbon is easy to break)

Didn't they float the traveller out to sea on a huge burning pyre?
