I've tried the template option Steve but the problem is finding some material to cover it. I used some wallpaper which had a similar texture to the pattern on the headlining and dyed it with a tiny amount of brown ink. The result looked good but it was too fragile to get tucked in under the rear window rubber without being damaged.

You can get the vinyl cloth form the likes of Newton Commercial or your local trim shop, the headlining material is also available. Either of these are available in the traditional moggy spec colours to blend in well. Any probs give me a call.

Thaks Johnathon. I'm trying to think of things to do over the winter so might be a few weeks yet. Right now I have the little problem of getting the old bloke through an MOT.
First on the list is brakes...
then horn....

Me too - but I think it's called the bit where the pick-up bed or van body should be.

you sure can put bigger parcels on that shelf! bit harder to integrate your little speakers into.

but our parcel shelves can accomodate a real band or group, who needs speakers and all that fiddling around with wires when u can have the real thing

Wise guys!!
Not the horizontal thingie. The vertical thingie that tucks in behind the bottom of the rear screen rubber.
I bet most of you haven't even noticed it's there or assumed it's part of the headlining.
{sound of lots of scurrying feet and jangling of keys}
