I should probabely know this myself your thinking, but there is some confusion as to wether the car in my sig pic is rose taupe or peat brown, and i don`t mean the blue one
What year is it? The Ray Newell book says, rose taupe was discontinued in dec 1967 )carnr 1207908) whilst peat brown was introduced in oct 1967(1200534) and disc. for saloons in 1970(1288376)
Hope this helps

Not sure about pear brown iddy, i can`t say i`ve ever heard of that.
It does help upto a point onne, mine is 1968 but she had a total respray in 1998. I wonder how close rose taupe and peat brown actually are to each other.
Your 1968 car was originally Peat Brown - this is a more chocolaty colour, Rose Taupe has a pinkish tinge. Your pic looks like Peat but its hard to tell.
There is no Pear Brown (r & t next door on keyboard so typo)
On the basis of the chocolaty, pinkish tinge thing Rog my car is both colours, the inside is brown and the outside is rose taupe, so the previous owner was either colour blind or didn`t like peat brown, won`t be rushing to rectify it, all part of the cars history as far as i`m concerned
