Quarter Light Glass Removal & Fitting

Has anyone successfully removed the quarter light glass from its frame (ie without breaking it) and then successfully refitted it (ie with the glass properly seated and flush in the frame)? If so, how? I've seen plenty of examples where the glass has not been pushed properly home, and don't want to start the job unless I can be certain of finishing it!

i broke 2 attempting just this, but then i am so clumsy

not sure of the best way to do it, maybe start at the bottom and try and lift at an angle and then the top should come out where it rounds off

Some seem really tight in the frame & can be hard to remove. A lot of wiggling (of the glass) works for me usually.

As for refitting, you should be able to get "glass setting rubber" strips from a decent rubber shop. It's basically uncured rubber (so they told me) & seals/holds the glass securely.
I used the same type of rubber to resecure the door glass to the lower channel for the window regulator.
