oil pressure gauge

Hi minor freaks

Where can i buy an oil pressure gauge (mechanical) and a mounting plate for 2 instruments at a cheap fair price on the net for my Traveller 1098 cc engine ?

ESM http://www.morrisminorspares.co.uk will do you a brand new set with the sendor etc. but you can pick them up quite cheap on ebay aswell.
1969 Four door Saloon Old English White 1275 with ported head and HS4 carb. Wolseley 1500 front brakes. Currently off the road with a leaky master cylinder!

I got mine on e-bay, minispares.com do all the connectors etc at a reasonable price.

I got mine out of scrapyard Minis (70s ones). Probably not that many about now though...

I`m a big ESM fan, and i don`t know a lot about oil pressure gauges, but the price discrepancy between them and the above site is incredible, is it all a matter of quality ?

You pay a lot for Smiths, as I recall VDO are a much cheaper brand. Doesn't mean they're no good though, but of course your gauges will say VDO and have a different face, so they won't look original or period I suppose. Given the price, I'd probably get VDO for practicality, and Smiths when they turn up for 50p at a car boot :)
