Rubber on front wing
To me can someone communicate whether with a Morris Minor year of construction 1959 between the front wing and the body a piping rubber is inserted?

There should not be one on the front wing of a 1959 car (only on the rear wing)

Tut tut - I'm fairly sure that the very ear;y cars have one, but not the Minor 1000There was no rubber between the front wing and the body regardless of year as far as I know.

trim
JANUARY 1955 'front wing piping discontinued on traveller and car'.
There IS a rubber moulding which fits on the leading inner edge of
the front wing and butts up against the front panel. (easy to forget
in the throes of fitting the wings). It must be to stop water ingress
into the engine compartment.

I don't really know if they used sealer or just good paint. I Presumne that the wings were already removed on my cars before I got them so it is hard to know what is original. Was the gap between wing and body with body kit sealed?
If you want to seal this joint, you need to do it from above and below because the water will come from the wheel and also from the bonnet. If you just seal only one edge it might rust quicker due to the trapped water.
