—- the site appears not to be secure 185.132.42,13 and the ‘remember me’ heading does not do so, as I need to log in each visit. Of course it could be me but it’s a coincidence after the recent shut down.

HTTPS certificate has likely expired or a name mismatch, according to MXToolbox.

I'm having to log in every time as well. Annoyingly my PC doesn't seem to want to remember my password.

When I heard of the current situation with technology I was dreading logging on to this site, as it often seems vunerable to these events and seems to take a while to fully recover. The non functioning ‘remember me’ is a mystery, considering the site has just had maintenance.

The 'not secure' notice is a regular one for me but the not remembering one is new.

Mine does OK. I run a forum like this for a scooter club and that had the same problem a while ago. I asked the host what the problem was and was told it would cost to upgrade from http to https. I waited and after a while it changed anyway free of charge. :D I assumed the hosting company is obliged to upgrade the server you are paying to use.
It you know where a link is taking you as you have been there before, so it's not an unknown site, then click through the warnings, there's no risk. Re-save your bookmark afterwards. The hosting companies are just covering their ars-s with all the warnings.

What scooter forum are you involved in, I had a couple of Lambrettas in the past.
Regarding this forum, I imagine money is one of the issues.

I got the same dire warnings and went ahead and logged in anyway.
But I use a very good security system in ESET, they scan for nasties in these situations and give me the all clear or not.
I would recommend ESET over other systems.
N.B.
This site is better than some others, the MGTF t bar site I use is more often cursed with "issues" than this one.

The need to feed my addiction for Minor news finally overwhelmed the dire warnings to go back. I don’t know if the site will remember me or not or when or if the warning and blocking will end. I hope the warning is baseless and Im not inviting hackers into my phone.
Happy motoring.
