rev counter?

hi all, im planning on fitting a rev counter to my 65 saloon. the moggy is standard so its positive earth so do i need a certain type of gauge and wheres the best place to put the conections? ive fitted an oil pressure gauge today, what readings should i hope for when warm? cheers matt
